Editing and closing a model portfolio
Risk Warning
This content is for users of the Wrap Investment Hub and must not be relied on by anyone else. The value of investments can go down as well as up and may be worth less than originally invested.
Editing a model portfolio
To edit a model portfolio you can either select the ‘Edit’ quick link on the home page or, if you are already in the detailed model portfolio view, you can select ‘Edit’ under the ‘New work’ tab.
Editing a model portfolio takes you to the same 9 Steps process that you went through to create the model. You can edit any of the individual steps and entries within this process, for example ‘permissioning a new adviser firm’.
If an ‘Authorisation’ step has been set up, then any updates made to any of the 9 Steps would need to be authorised by another Transact User before being made live.
Target allocation
To change the target allocation of a model portfolio you would go to Step 2 and edit the investment selection. To implement those changes for existing clients you would then instruct a rebalance across the portfolio.
Closing a model portfolio
You can request for a model portfolio to be closed by us once you are satisfied there are no clients or funds attached to the model.
Check this by running an ‘Assets under Administration’ report under the ‘Business Mgmt’ tab and filtering the report to the model(s) you want to close.
Once satisfied that there are no clients invested in the model portfolio, it’s important to remove all adviser permissions so that no new clients can be invested.
This request should be sent via email to: Hub_Servicing@aberdeenplc.com and should include the name(s) of each model portfolio you wish to close.
