AKG Financial Strength Ratings 2026
19 October 2026Enduring strength, independently recognised
When choosing a platform partner, advisers need confidence that it has the strength and experience to support their business and clients over the long term. Now in our 20th year, our consistently strong independent ratings reflect the enduring strength and resilience of our platform business and our commitment to being a partner advisers can rely on for the future.
All four propositions have maintained their Financial Strength Ratings from independent ratings specialist AKG giving advisers further confidence in the strength of the business behind them. This continued recognition provides robust, independent evidence to support provider reviews, ongoing due diligence and confident long-term recommendations for clients.
Our ninth consecutive ‘A’ rating for Aberdeen Wrap and eighth for Aberdeen Elevate are powerful endorsements of the enduring strength of our platform business. Aberdeen MPS retained its B+ Very Strong rating for a third consecutive year in January 2026 and again in September 2026, while Aberdeen SIPP maintained the B+ rating first awarded in March 2026 at its September 2026 assessment.
Our 2026 AKG ratings
AKG’s financial strength assessment considers a company’s ability to sustain the delivery of its products or services to customers. Its analysis is based on a detailed assessment of publicly available information, supplemented by discussions with senior management and additional contextual market material. It considers factors including capital and asset strength, the strength of the management team and the ability to withstand external market forces, alongside service, image and strategy, and business performance.
These maintained ratings offer advisers meaningful independent reassurance. The continued A ratings for Wrap and Elevate and B+ ratings for Aberdeen MPS and SIPP demonstrate sustained strength across our wider proposition and provide credible evidence to support more confident, informed proposition reviews and due diligence.
We are proud to have achieved another strong set of AKG ratings across our platforms, SIPP and MPS. Their consistency over many years demonstrates the resilience and enduring strength of our business, while giving advisers independent evidence that can help build confidence in the propositions they choose for their clients.
Rich Denning, CEO of Aberdeen Adviser, said:
“Our ninth consecutive ‘A’ rating for Wrap and eighth for Elevate are powerful endorsements of the enduring strength of our platform business. Together with the ‘B+ Very Strong’ ratings held by Aberdeen MPS and our recently launched Aberdeen SIPP, they demonstrate the breadth and strength of our wider proposition.”
“We are not standing still. We will continue investing in our technology, service and investment solutions, giving advisers confidence that we can deliver for them and their clients well into the future.”
Matt Ward, Communications Director at AKG, added:
“It has been good to work with Aberdeen Adviser again on the review process, rating their pertinent entities operating across our Platform, DFM and Provider sectors. AKG’s process is underpinned by formal discussions with senior leaders, the purpose being to inform the assessment/rating and support our understanding of their current financial, strategic and operational positioning.
AKG’s independent financial strength ratings are designed specifically to assist advice firms in their research and due diligence duties, whether this be in the selection of Platform, MPS or SIPP partners. Another set of strong ratings for Aberdeen Adviser will provide comfort to those advice firms seeking to engage and develop long-term business partnerships.”
Supporting adviser due diligence
AKG’s assessment approach helps advisers get a clearer view of a company’s operational and financial strength. The reports are a practical resource for ongoing due diligence and proposition reviews, and can also support conversations with clients about why a provider has been chosen.
