Wrap platform provider – change to legal name

As you know, earlier this year we changed our name from ‘abrdn’ to ‘Aberdeen.’

The company within the Aberdeen Group that provides the Wrap platform is also changing its name – from Standard Life Savings Limited to Aberdeen Platform Limited and this will affect the Direct Debit reference your clients may see on their bank statements.

We’re required by our banking partner to write to all customers who use Direct Debits to explain that this change will happen over the coming months and, during this transition, they may still see references to ‘abrdn’ or ‘Standard Life.’  You can see a copy of the letter that will go out in early November here.

No action is required by you or your clients, as these changes will happen automatically as the legal names are updated.  There is no need to complete a new Direct Debit Instruction and there will be no change to existing Direct Debit amounts or dates.  Your clients will continue to receive the benefits of the Direct Debit Guarantee.
