- Investment objective
The Aberdeen Index MPS range aims to achieve a total return over the long term, from both income and capital growth, through a diversified portfolio of collective investment funds. It is intended for investors with a very low through to a medium high attitude to risk. The portfolios invests in a wide variety of assets, via funds that in turn invest in equities, fixed interest, alternatives and money markets. This blend of assets should help to dampen down volatility over the long term.

Our skilled team of investment professionals have a combined 100 years of investment experience of building and running MPS solutions and we collaborate closely with our MyFolio team colleagues to manage this portfolio range.

Investment approach
- Strategic Asset Allocation: we use index tracking funds to build the optimal long term mix of bonds, equities and alternative investments to achieve portfolio objectives within agreed risk levels.
- We only use index tracking funds in order to deliver a low cost option for our investors who prefer this approach.
- Aberdeen Index funds are predominantly utilised as asset class building blocks within the Aberdeen Index MPS range.
- We continually review each portfolio and carry out regular rebalancing (at least 4 times a year) to make sure it continues to align to the original long term asset mix.

This range is available on Aberdeen Wrap and Elevate platforms and can also be accessed via Aviva, Fidelity Adviser Solutions, Quilter and Transact.
